The staff at HRC Rancho Cucamonga understands that trying to get pregnant can be emotionally, physically, and financially stressful. This is why we make every effort to help patients cope.
Infertility Treatment Costs
We understand that undergoing fertility treatment can be financially, as well as emotionally stressful. This is why we make sure our patients have a clear understanding of fees prior to the beginning of treatment. Additionally we want to ensure that our patients are fully informed regarding all financial options available to them.
Many insurance companies unfortunately do not cover fertility treatment. However, some managed care providers cover many tests for infertility and some treatments. As a courtesy to our patients, we will verify all available insurance benefits to determine coverage on specific treatment plans recommended by our doctors. Obtaining a copy of the actual insurance policy is an important step patients can take in understanding their coverage. Our financial counselors can then review the information to legally maximize available benefits. These might include diagnostic laparasopy, initial lab testing work-up, uterine evaluation and perhaps semen analysis.
The media often reports on the high cost of the most advanced and expensive infertility treatments. Couples then have the mistaken impression that they cannot afford treatment. What’s important to keep in mind is that the majority of patients will become pregnant using less expensive technologies such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or through medical treatment of conditions such as ovulatory disorders. In vitro fertilization (IVF) is actually required by only a small percentage of patients.
